Lakewood Vineyards has experienced a busy year with a number of nice accolades and awards. Our fall newsletter will be out soon with the various awards noted.
Most recently our Cabernet Franc was selected as a top pick in a New York Times article about Finger Lakes Cabernet Franc. Below is a link the to the article.
While we are sold out of the 2014 Cabernet Franc reviewed in the article we now have the 2016 Cabernet Franc available. When asked for their opinion on the differences between the 2 vintages the winemaking team says:
“The chemistry is almost identical, but the 2016 is a little fleshier. It was a smaller crop and the wine has firm acidity, with ripe fruit flavors.” They like it even more than they liked the 2014.
